Basic knowledge of silicone

Silica gel alias: Silicate gel, is a highly active adsorbent material, an amorphous substance.The main component of silicone is silica, with stable chemical properties and non-combustion.Usually called silicone or silicone rubber.Hardness is generally between 10 and 80 degrees (customizable).

Generally speaking, silicone can be divided into silicone and inorganic silicone according to its properties and components.

1. inorganic silicone according to its use, silicone can also be divided into beer silicone, pressure adsorbent silicone, medical silicone, discolored silicone, silicone desiccant, silicone opening agent, silicone for toothpaste, etc.

2. silicone products can be divided into three categories according to the different forming processes;

(a).Molded pressure on silicone products (processes now used by our company)

Molded pressure on silicone products are usually formed through the high temperature mold after applying pressure through the solid silicone raw material with the added sulfide agent, the high temperature sulfur into the solid molding, and the hardness of the molded silicone is usually at 30 C-70 C.Raw material with color paste according to the Pantone card number, the shape of the mold determines the shape of molded silicone products, molded silicone products is the most widely used one in the silicone industry.Mainly used to do only the silicone industrial accessories, keys, silicone gifts, silicone bracelet, silicone watch, key bag, mobile phone set, silicone kitchenware, silicone pad, silicone pad, ice lattice, cake mold and so much more.

(b).Extruded from silicone products

Extruded silicone products are usually formed by extrusion machines. Generally, the extrusion silicone shape is long, and the tube can be cut at will, but the shape of extrusion silicone has limitations, which is widely used in medical equipment and food machinery.

(c).Liquid silicone products

Liquid silicone products are formed through silicone injection injection, soft and hardness can reach 10 C-40 C, due to its soft characteristics, in the simulation of human organs, medical silicone chest pads, and other widely used.
